Though the conditions were not ideal, the Franklin Cubs and Buffalo Bellflowers came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Franklin Cubs downed the Buffalo Bellflowers, 10-4. The hitting star was right fielder Hector Ferman. Ferman went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Cubs. Franklin is now 44-27, while Buffalo is 19-52.

The Cubs got a big boost from designated hitter Jose Ramirez who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Bellflowers hurler Jonathan Vivas. It was his 4th walk of the season and put Franklin on top, 1-0.

Franklin manager Kerry McElree commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."
