The Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates downed the Moncton Mounties, 7-5. The hitting star was designated hitter Izzy Leyva. Leyva was 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Pirates. Evan Sippel, 6-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. It could have been a different outcome for Saint Pierre and Miquelon, had it not been for John Gadsden, the former first round draft pick . Gadsden contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Saint Pierre and Miquelon up, 2-0.
