The Long Island Torpedoes cut down the Whitby Bats by the score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Much of the credit went to first baseman Jarred DeLozier. DeLozier was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times for the Torpedoes. Gabe Rubio notched his 1st save of the season. The defeat makes Whitby 39-25.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for John Aiello? The 18-year old catcher Aiello stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put Long Island up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Long Island manager Moises Gonzalez.
