Nightmare Suffer 5-3 Home Defeat

The Maine Pines picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, dropping the New York Nightmare, 5-3. Ryan Flamino, who led the NC in wins with 17 in 2023, was the difference-maker. In 7.1 innings, Flamino surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 13 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Today's win puts Maine at 46-48, while New York falls to 36-58.
It could have been a different outcome for Maine, had it not been for Skyler Fundis, the 2025 NC batting champion . Fundis contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put Maine up, 3-2.
"Ryan did a nice job," said Pines manager David Whigham.
