Behind the hitting of Keith Brosch, the Detroit Giants stopped the Chicago Gangsters, 5-4. Brosch went 4 for 6 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Giants. Chicago is 2-8 after the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Edward Salgado in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old left-handed pitcher Ronnie Miller to win the game for Detroit. The home crowd went nuts.

"It was bedlam at the end," Brosch said.
