Invaders Win 2-1 Walk-Off

The Halifax Heathens got a superb performance from pitcher Andy Swift. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Oakland. The Invaders won the game, 2-1. Swift threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Oakland sits in second place in the National Conference South Division at 54-39.
Pete Horne was the walk-off hero for Oakland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Invaders first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Halifax skipper David Morris.
