Gladiators Hand San Francisco 4-1 Loss
|
The Phoenix Gladiators went home winners at Gladiators Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Bob Rehm. Rehm stifled the San Francisco Fire, enabling Phoenix to grab the 4-1 win. Ryan Robertson closed the game out for Phoenix, earning his 5th save. Phoenix has now won 4 straight, while the Fire have lost 3 in a row.
The Gladiators got a big at-bat from second baseman John Anderson. For the game, Anderson was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Phoenix a 4-1 lead.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Anderson.
