Giants Deal Gangsters 10-0 Defeat
|
Detroit Giants starter Phil White found his groove in his team's 10-0 win over the Chicago Gangsters. Detroit is 52-40 and Chicago, with the loss, 35-57.
Ron Cardwell had a big 3-run home run for the Giants in the top of the eighth inning. With Detroit leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Harkey and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Giants on top, 6-0.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Cardwell.
