The inspired effort of Syracuse center fielder Chris Guardiola was not enough to prevent a loss, 12-10, to the Fountain Hills 23ers. Guardiola slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The wins continue to add up for Fountain Hills. The latest makes it 7 in a row.

In the bottom of the fourth, Fountain Hills right fielder Tim Scott had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Scott stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 8-6, Fountain Hills. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 4 runs.
