Ragin Cajuns Absorb 5-2 Loss at King George Park
The Cornwall Royals knocked off the Stockton Ragin Cajuns, 5-2, in Western AA action at King George Park. Cornwall pitcher and Clinton, Kentucky, native Justin Hesley had an outstanding performance. Hesley got the win, improving to 6-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Royals have a one-game lead in the Western AA Central Division.

Cornwall catcher Taiju Kusanagi contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 76th hit of the season and put the Royals ahead, 4-2.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Kusanagi told the Cornwall News.
