Orono Win Evens Series at 3
|
The Orono Oaks and the Joilet Jesters will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Oaks beat the Jesters, 11-6, at Ballpark of Joilet to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Orono first baseman Matt Tindall went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
In the top of the fifth inning, the Oaks grabbed the lead when Aaron Nelson rapped a two-out double. Orono was trailing 4-3, when Nelson hit a 2-run double off Jeff Horn to put his team in front, 5-4.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Nelson.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Joilet in Naperville.
