Boston registered a win at Nightmare Stadium by beating the New York Nightmare, 6-2. Pitcher Joe Schroeder was one reason why the Whistlers triumphed. Blake Bryant got the save, his 21st in 24 chances. Boston is now 48-44, while New York is 35-57.

Derek Maher, who led the NC in doubles with 44 in 2020, helped out the Boston cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 3 with a double.

"I loved our energy," said Boston manager Mike Plocher. "I loved the way we played."
