Fleet Get One-Run Win at Dallas
Both teams had their chances, but the San Diego Fleet eventually prevailed.

The San Diego Fleet racked up a win at Tennant Healthcare Ballpark, bumping off the Dallas Dragons, 6-5. Brian Underwood, who started for San Diego, pitched effectively for his team. Underwood picked up the win for San Diego, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. Rich Forbes, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.

John Whitney, who is tied for 2nd in the NC in stolen bases with 44, aided the San Diego cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I still think this team can play even better," Whitney told the San Diego Observer.
