Oakland Win Evens Series at 1

With shortstop Adam Bechdel leading the charge, the Oakland Invaders got a road win over the Cincinnati Royals, 5-3, in Game 2 of the Wildcard Game. Bechdel was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once at The Castle to help Oakland force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ernesto Ramirez? The five-time All-Star Ramirez stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Oakland up, 4-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Bechdel. "And not try to do too much."
The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 2nd , 2023 at Howard Terminal in Oakland.
