Chuluota Breaks Through for First Win in Division Series; Now Trails 2-1
Jerry Maciaszek pitched well, but the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes lost anyway, falling, 3-2, in extra innings to the Chuluota Imperials at Imperials Ballpark. With the win, Chuluota closed their deficit in the best-of-7 Division Series to 2-1. Maciaszek gave the Earthquakes 5.2 innings and allowed no runs.

The decisive blow was delivered by Dave Orosco in the bottom of the 15th when he hit a solo home run off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Pedro Garza to win the game for Chuluota. The home crowd went nuts.

"The competition leap this year was tough to adjust to and I feel like there has been another jump in the playoffs," said Orosco, a rookie this season. "You're only playing the best now and everyone has time to rest and prepare for you."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Imperials Ballpark in Chuluota.
