Chuluota had no answer for Ft. Wayne starter Ray LeCain, who flummoxed Imperials hitters as the Earthquakes cruised to victory, 5-1, in Game 2 of the Division Series. The Earthquakes now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the right-handed LeCain, who controlled Chuluota throughout the contest and threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

The Earthquakes took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out, Curt Koerner hit a solo home run off Chuluota pitcher Manny Vega, putting Ft. Wayne in front, 3-1. For the game, Koerner was 1-4 with a home run.

"We're not going to sweep 'em," Koerner said in response to a question after the game. "Chuluota is too good not to take a game somewhere."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 14th , 2024 at Imperials Ballpark in Chuluota.
