Encinitas Breaks Through for First Win in League Championship Series; Now Trails 2-1
Already down in the League Championship Series, the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers put on their best show, beating the Winchester Mountaineers by a final score of 1-0. Roy McLain was special. He threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Encinitas now trails Winchester 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Encinitas right fielder Danny Lucena, facing Steve Gryder, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Eskimo Brothers the 1-0 win.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Lucena said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at EBDBBNB Park in Mobile.
