Wish Helps Gangsters Defeat Giants, 10-9
Justin Wish knocked in 4 runs to help Chicago beat Detroit, 10-9. The Dallas, Texas native tallied 3 singles and 1 home run. Reliever Andy Bennett picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Heath Maughn took the loss. The win puts the Gangsters at 32-59, while the Giants drop to 33-58.

St. Petersburg, Florida-born Steve Bloomquist came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Gangsters trailing 8-7, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Chicago on top.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Bloomquist, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
