Aaron Tanguay and the Glace Bay Miners opened the Division Series in brilliant fashion, traveling to Huntsville and shutting out the host Rockets at Ballpark of Austin, 7-0, to secure an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Tanguay, the Miners right-hander, threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball.

Tanguay confounded Huntsville hitters. Over 7 innings, he allowed no runs on 6 hits.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Tanguay.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Austin in Huntsville.
