Desperados Win Division Series
The Santa Rosa Desperados are one step closer to the World Series.

The club prevailed 4-3 at Keelhaulers Ballpark tonight to eliminate the Glace Bay Miners and advance to the League Championship Series.

The Desperados won the series by a 4-1 margin, with center fielder and series MVP Leo Cortez leading the way.

"I'm proud of all the guys," Cortez said. "This was a team effort, not just me."

The Santa Rosa Desperados don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Newark Flyers - St. Catharines Blue Jays series. Newark leads the series 3 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
