The Santa Rosa Desperados got a strong performance from pitcher Bubba Byrne, who stymied the visiting Glace Bay Miners en route to a win, 8-0, in Game 4 of the Division Series. The Miners could never get a bead on the right-handed Byrne, who threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The Desperados now hold a 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Byrne delivered a quality start for Santa Rosa. The 5-foot-9 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings of work.

"Nice win for us," said Byrne. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Keelhaulers Ballpark in Santa Rosa.
