Hollywood registered a win at Estadio Azteca by beating the Halifax Heathens, 6-3. Pitcher Chris Phillips was one reason why the Stars triumphed. The winning pitcher was Phillips, now 6-9. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. Jason Hollenbeck nailed down his 13th save.

Hollywood won the game in part because of Tim Schellin. The left fielder ripped a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Stars ahead, 5-1. For the game, Schellin had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Chris was able to execute his pitches," said Hollywood manager Alex Aguilera. "Simple as that."

The Hollywood win streak is now 3 games.
