The Syracuse Scorpions were defeated, 2-1, by the Fountain Hills 23ers at Fountain Park, even though Jason Cox pitched well for Syracuse. Stuart Taylor closed the game out for Fountain Hills, earning his 2nd save. At 45-45, the 23ers are currently second in the American Conference North East Division.

Left Fielder Corey Pope made an impact for Fountain Hills, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Jason Cox in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Pope went 1 for 3 with a triple.
