Due in large part to shortstop Clemente Julio, the Chicago Gangsters sunk the Detroit Giants, 9-5. Julio was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Chicago pitcher Christian Montgomery got the win, upping his record to 2-5. Quito Herrera got the loss. Chicago's record now stands at 33-57, placing them last in the American Conference Central Division.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Julio hit a bases-clearing double off Quito Herrera. It propelled the Gangsters into the lead, 7-4.

"It feels good to get this one," Julio told the Chicago Citizen.
