The New York Nightmare picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, knocking off the Boston Whistlers, 6-3. Starting pitcher Jose Contreras played a key role in the triumph. Tony Rosario recorded the save, his 16th. New York, at 34-56, occupies third place in the American Conference North East Division.

Matt Davis hit a 2-run double off Antonio Higuera in the bottom of the second, which put the Nightmare in front, 2-0. In addition to the double, Davis had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
