San Francisco Defeated By Desperados, 7-5
|
San Francisco third baseman Matthew Little was sensational. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Austin beat the Fire, 7-5. Jason Emary, the winner, improved to 9-6. He held the Fire to 2 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 1. The current losing streak for San Francisco has reached 4 games.
Ramon Dozal was vital to the Austin win. He was 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the second with two out, Dozal hit a 2-run single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Desperados.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said San Francisco manager Zach Freeman. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
