The home team gave the crowd at Super Solarplex something to cheer about.

The Moriarty Suns defeated the Moncton Mounties, 6-5, at Super Solarplex. Moriarty left fielder Steve Farnsworth had a superb performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Brian Underwood, the winner, goes to 8-0. He allowed 4 runs on 11 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts over 7 innings. Brandon Williams earned the save for Moriarty, his 4th.

Brian DeHaas, who is tied for 9th in the NC in RBI with 32, helped out the Moriarty cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"Good team win," DeHaas said. "I love it when a plan comes together."

The win boosted Moriarty to 31-15.
