Boston right fielder Taylor McLean picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the New York Nightmare, 6-5. Blake Bryant earned the save, his 16th, for the Whistlers. The Whistlers, now 49-40, have won 4 in a row.

Dave Aschenbrener came through with a big-time hit for Boston. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Aschenbrener. "You've got to get results."
