Daytona Beach Upended, 4-1, by Indianapolis
|
Indianapolis Eagles starter Ray Dappen found his groove in his team's 4-1 win over the Daytona Beach Sea Turtles. Morgan Jenkins nailed down the save. By defeating Daytona Beach, the first-place Eagles improved to 53-36.
Jerry Robinson, who led the NC in home runs with 41 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Robinson contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Indianapolis up, 4-1.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Dappen told the Indianapolis Observer.
