Buffalo right fielder Jesus Madrigal was sensational. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 5. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Tiverton beat the Bellflowers, 12-10. Jim Unknown earned the win for Tiverton. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 6 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 10. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. The 4th-place Colonels go to 18-20.

Colonels manager Dave Maloney wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
