The Moncton Mounties knocked the snot out of the Long Island Torpedoes at Mapleton Yards. The final score was 18-2, Moncton. Collin Mays went 3-for-3 for the victors. The Mounties now have a mark of 17-19.

Hugo Gonzalez had a big 2-run double for the Mounties in the bottom of the first inning. With Moncton leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Luis Torres and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mounties ahead, 4-1.

"Talk about a forgettable performance," said losing manager Victor Sepulveda.
