Mounties Do In Bats, 4-0
|
Moncton starter Eddie Remington put a stranglehold on the Whitby offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Mounties to a 4-0 win. Losses have been rare for the Bats, who are now 18-5.
Matt Unger cracked a home run off Bobby Nowlin in the bottom of the third. His solo blast put the Mounties on top, 1-0. In all, Unger had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Eddie did a good job mixing and matching," said Moncton manager Kevin Squillace.
