Mounties Score Late to Upend Rockers, 7-4
|
The Moncton Mounties topped the Plymouth Rockers, 7-4, at Mapleton Yards. Moncton catcher Nelson Perez was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Now 3-14, the 2021 Rockers have been wretched so far.
Moncton took the lead, 7-4, on Billy Groesbeck's 1st home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Plymouth pitcher Jim Unknown in the bottom of the eighth.
"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Perez.
