Gladiators Get One-Run Win at Mexico City
Phoenix beat Mexico City at Gran Estadio Azteca, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop John Platzer. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Ryan Robertson recorded the save, his 3rd. The Gladiators go to 50-37, putting them second in the American Conference South Division.

Phoenix used a clutch at-bat from John Grabowski to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Gladiators ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Grabowski said.
