23ers Saddle Gangsters with 6-2 Loss

Fountain Hills took on Chicago in front of a lively crowd.
The Fountain Hills 23ers beat the Chicago Gangsters by a score of 6-2. Fountain Hills left fielder Jason Perrigin deserved the lion's share of the credit. Perrigin was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the 23ers. Pedro Rodriguez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Josh Foreman was tagged with the loss.
In the first inning, Perrigin had a 3-run home run for Fountain Hills. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the 23ers on top, 4-0.
"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Chicago skipper Antonio Valdez said.
The 23ers are now 42-45, while the Gangsters fall to 31-56.
