Barnes Lifts Golden Gophers to 7-0 Triumph
Thanks in large part to first baseman Bobby Barnes, the Little Rock Golden Gophers beat the Julian Jammers, 7-0. Barnes went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Dave Anderson picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 10 and walked 3 in 6.2 innings, while yielding no runs. Julian, with the loss, is 1-2.

In the bottom of the third, Barnes had a grand slam home run for Little Rock. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Golden Gophers on top, 4-0.
