Dragons Stymied by Fire, Dobyns
San Francisco turned a good effort from starter James Dobyns into a win over the Dallas Dragons at San Francisco Grounds. The Fire won the game, 7-0. San Francisco, at 40-46, holds down second place in the National Conference West Division.

Dobyns worked his mojo for San Francisco. The hard-throwing right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings of work.

"James set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said San Francisco manager Jim Clarke.
