The Hollywood Stars picked up a win at Hollywood Grounds, downing the Phoenix Gladiators, 7-2. On the mound for Hollywood was right-hander Rob Morgan, who played a pivotal role in the win. The last-place Stars have a record of 36-50.
Eric Daniel, who is tied for 9th in the NC in doubles with 16, aided the Hollywood cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 times.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Morgan told the Hollywood Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
