The Philadelphia Marauders wasted an impressive 8.2-inning effort from starter Zach Jackson, falling, 2-1, to the Syracuse Scorpions at Marauders Ballpark. The Scorpions now have a mark of 40-46.

Chris Guardiola came through with a big-time hit for Syracuse. The center fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It was a solid team effort," said Guardiola after the game.
