Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Boston Whistlers and New York Nightmare.

The Boston Whistlers picked up a win at Nightmare Stadium, dropping the New York Nightmare, 5-4. Pat Wilber, who leads the AC in complete games with 2, was the difference-maker. The American Conference Central Division-leading Whistlers are 49-37.

Boston first baseman Austin Alpers landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the top of the second. It was his 10th home run of the season. With it, the Whistlers took a 3-0 lead.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Wilber.
