Reapers Collect 7-6 Win Over Trash Pandas
Toronto got a terrific game from shortstop Jon Kenyon. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Carolina, 7-6. Kenyon was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI. Carolina reliever Jake Schmitt picked up the win, upping his record to 1-4. Travis Williams was saddled with the loss. After today's action, Carolina sits at 36-49; Toronto slips to 50-35.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Ryan Burchett in the bottom of the tenth. That's when he hit a solo home run off former first round draft pick Travis Williams to win it for Carolina and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Burchett.
