Though he had a terrific game, Chris Lutz could not prevent his team, the Detroit Giants, from absorbing a loss. Boston won the game, 8-6. Lutz was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs. With the loss, Detroit drops to 3-6.

Tyler Jordan helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Boston a 1-0 lead.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Whistlers manager Ben Foster. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
