Iowa first baseman Eric Brower had a big day at PK Park against the Oregon Ducks. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 9-5 Hawkeyes triumph over Oregon.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Brower said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Eric Brower doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jack Presley in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jack Presley in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

This season, Brower has hit at a .280 clip and produced 28 RBI, 14 home runs and 26 runs.
