The Carolina Reapers overcame a pretty good performance by Toronto first baseman Jaylen Taylor, beating the Trash Pandas, 6-4, at Trash Panda Field. Taylor went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Roy Walk, 4-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Jake Schmitt earned the save for Carolina, his 1st of the year.

Carolina used the timely hitting of Mike Green to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reapers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Green.

The last-place Reapers are now 35-49, the Trash Pandas 42-42.
