The New York Nightmare ushered in the 2026 season with a win versus the Dallas Dragons at Nightmare Stadium. The final score was 3-0. Starting Pitcher Dustin Lewis, who finished 3rd in the AC in strikeouts with 231 in 2024, had a standout performance.

Lewis kept the Dragons under his thumb. He scattered 2 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 11. The right-hander upped his season record to 1-0.

"Dustin's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said New York manager Tyrone Hairston.
