Top SL1 Hurler Honors Go to Valentin Saturday, October 19th , 2024 This past season Omar Valentin put on quite a show in the Sub League 1. In 27 starts he posted a 17-4 record for Santa Ana to capture the 2024 Pitcher of the Year Award. In 27 starts and 170.1 innings, Valentin yielded 176 hits, holding the opposition to a .267 average. He chalked up 124 strikeouts and posted a 3.65 ERA. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 24. Graham Renner of the Medford Desperados finished second in voting with 10 first place votes, while Nick Kern of the Little Rock Golden Gophers finished third.
