Super Troopers Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire

The Santa Barbara Super Troopers and Savannah Alpines put on a classic League Championship Series that was in question until the final game.
In the end, Santa Barbara won the deciding contest by a score of 7-1, to take the series 4-3.
"It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Eddie Monaghan, who earned series MVP honors for Santa Barbara. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now."
For the series, Monaghan hit .370 with a .469 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers will play against the Little Rock Golden Gophers in the next round. Little Rock won their series against the Medford Desperados 4 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
