SL2 Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award Friday, October 16th , 2026 At the young age of only 19, Zach Ellis has been named the Sub League 2 Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2026. The future appears bright for the Newport News Wranglers relief ace, who captured the award with 5 saves in 31 relief appearances, 34 strikeouts in 43.2 innings and a record of 1-0 to go with his 0.82 ERA. He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Raul Rodriguez of the Ontario Sunrays finished second in voting, while Jonathan Aubry of the Newport News Wranglers finished third.
