Santa Barbara Bids Farewell to Manager Jacobs Friday, October 31st , 2025 Today the Super Troopers made an announcement: The era of Jimmy Jacobs is over in Santa Barbara. After a disappointing season, the club officials sat down with Jacobs to discuss their decision to make a change. "It wasn't a surprise to me," Jacobs said speaking with reporters. "As a team we did not perform up to people's expectations, nor to my expectations. When that happens, someone has to take the blame. This year, that person was me." In an official statement, Super Troopers general manager expressed gratitude for Jacobs's efforts, but confirmed the need to look for a different voice in the clubhouse. "We thank Jimmy for providing class, professionalism, experience and leadership during his tenure with the club, but believe we need to make this important change to our team's management," he said. |
