Santa Barbara Moves on to World Series Wednesday, September 24th , 2025 The Santa Barbara Super Troopers outclassed the Sikeston Shamrocks in all facets of the game throughout the SL2 League Championship Series. The end result was a Santa Barbara series sweep to advance to the World Series, capped off by a 8-4 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said second baseman Doug Wagner, who hit .444 in the series. Wagner's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .524 on-base percentage and had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Santa Barbara Super Troopers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Little Rock Golden Gophers - Medford Desperados series. Little Rock leads the series 2 games to 0.
