Aurora-Providence Brawl, Chavez and Abril Suspended Monday, September 8th , 2025 Francisco Chavez of the Aurora Paints and Rich Abril of the Providence Hex will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 2 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Paints-Hex game at Ballpark of Providence. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Chavez and Abril will begin serving them soon. Chavez is currently batting .333 with 12 home runs and 74 RBIs. Here are his stats for this season: Abril has chalked up 1 save and fashioned a record of 3 wins and 2 losses with a 4.71 ERA. He has made 33 relief appearances, thrown 57.1 innings and struck out 47. |
