SL2's Premier Starter is Gonzales Monday, September 1st , 2025 Newport News starter Alex Gonzales claimed the Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Month Award today with his strong performance in August. The 19-year-old starter tossed 41.2 innings of solid baseball, putting up a 2.38 ERA, 22 strikeouts and a 5-1 record in 6 starts. Checking out his stats for the season, Gonzales has racked up 11 wins and 9 losses in 31 starts, posted a 5.09 ERA, and struck out 91 batters in 157.1 innings. |
