Music Sheffield Booms 3 HRs Sunday, August 24th , 2025 Steve Sheffield brutalized the Montgomery Missions pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 8-2 Anaheim victory at Music Grove. The Anaheim Music second baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Steve Sheffield today," Missions manager Hoa Nguyen-Dinh said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Steve Sheffield hit a two-run home run off Jeff O'Donovan in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeff O'Donovan in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Javier Torres in the 7th. This year, Sheffield has batted at a .304 pace with 45 hits, 13 home runs, 46 RBIs and scored 32 times. |
